Recycling Guidelines:
Items that must be recycled
are:
Corrugated Cardboard:
Please flatten the cardboard.
Plastic Containers:
Include plastic bottles labeled with a #1 or #2
only - discard caps, rinse and flatten. No
motor oil containers can be recycled.
Glass Bottles & Jars:
Clear, brown and green glass jars and bottles only.
Discard the caps and rinse.
Aluminum & Tin Cans:
Aluminum and tin, or steel, food and
beverage containers, including aerosol cans, can be
recycled. Please rinse them prior to
recycling.
Mixed Office Paper:
Bundled and tied with string.
Newspaper and Inserts:
Bundled and tied with string.
Magazines & Glossy
Catalogs: Bundled and tied.
The following recyclables
are also accepted at the Adams County Landfill &
Recycling Center:
Auto batteries, used motor oil and oil filters,
appliances, fluorescent bulbs, tires & scrap metal.
NOTE: Most
recyclable items can be recycled free of charge.
There is a nominal charge for dropping off
appliances, tires and fluorescent bulbs.
